Randy Roberts

Randy Roberts is a recent Kent State biology graduate and a local beekeeper with apiary locations in Trumbull and Portage county Ohio. His beekeeping activities include colony maintenance, bee breeding, swarm retrieval, mead brewing and, of course, honey harvesting & extraction. Personal research and working with other beekeepers have provided him with a wealth of knowledge about the honey bee, and he's always interested in answering people's questions.

Beekeeping 101

All are welcome to join in a discussion about honey bees (Apis Mellifera) led by recent Kent State Biology graduate and expert beekeeper Randy Roberts. Coming to understand the honey bee provides knowledge of ecology, indigenous plant life, agriculture and a multitude of other subjects. Anyone wishing to become a beekeeper will be provided the basic know-how regarding raising and maintaining a bee colony.
